The bachelor's work on the topic «Film Names: translation problem» studies and describes the pragmatics ofthe names of English films into Russian and Czech. The purpose of this research is to determine the specifics of the translation of films names from English into Russian and Czech, to explain the reasons for the differences in the translation, to describe the specifics of the emerging trends in the translation of film names. This work consists of two parts: theoretic and practical. The theoretical part describes the problem of translating films titles and its features. In the practical part, specific examples of movie namesselected by rating and release date of the film are. Materials were taken from the websites of IMDb and Česko-slovenská filmová databáze.
